Located on the upper Mississippi River where it widens to form Lake Pepin, the village and surrounding township of Maiden Rock encompasses a natural refuge for birds and wildlife as well as for human seekers of natural beauty and pastoral expanses. Maiden Rock is in Pierce County, Wisonsin.
It's two major highways are Wisconsin 35, which is also known as the Great River Road, and Wisconsin 10, the highway which cuts through the township and connects the area to the county seat of Ellsworth.
Maiden Rock is approximately 65 miles southeast of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota.
